A Korean hangover healing cure, Gyeondyo-bar, which also means ‘hang in there’ caught the attention of overseas heavy drinkers. It is an ice cream bar that has the flavors of grapefruit and oriental raisin fruit juice. According to a study, raisin tree extract could reduce effects of intoxication in rats. It nurses the sore head and nausea from heavy drinking. Experts also say that the cold ice cream helps lower the body temperature that has risen from drinking alcohol.  South Koreans drink 12.3 litres of alcohol per year, which is the highest per capita alcohol consumption in Asia. The industry for hangover cures generates 50 billion won, including pills, beverages and even cosmetics. The Gyeondyo-bar is available only in Korea, a convenience store chain, Whithme.
